Turn and Repent

Gen. Deborah Green

P RAISE GOD. Welcome to Battle Cry Sounding-Battle Cry Pounding. The Lord IS on the move, and the Lord is either moving by mercy, or He’s moving by wrath; and we determine how He moves by what we choose. If we choose to live in rebellion, if we choose to live in hardness of heart, if we choose to live in scoffing and mocking of the way of the Lord, then the Lord will move by His wrath and REWARD us for our choices. If we choose to move with God in REPENTANCE REVOLUTION, then the Lord will move in His forgiveness, in His mercy, in His loving-kindness, and in His goodness.

So, yes, God is always moving, because God is alive. He’s not some dumb statue that we can delegate certain traits to and think we get by with our sins, but He’s a God who’s ever observant of what we do, and what it is that we do not do. So, if we think that we can pull one over on God, we’re going to find out that we are the ones deceived, and we are going to find out that we are punished for the ways of wickedness that we persist and insist in living in, rather than the ways of righteousness.

Now, today, we’re going to be in psalm 7, and the name of this message is: “TURN AND REPENT.” Now, what does that “turn” mean? It means to turn away from wickedness, and to repent unto the Lord. In other words, that’s what God wants the wicked to do—the ones who are walking afar off from Him, the ones who have forsaken His way and gone a whoring from Him, is to turn and repent.

Now, a lot of people think: “Well, I’ll tell God I’m sorry, but I’ll go on with my behaviors—because it’s fun, because I like what I’m doing, because I can do what I want to do, and have it my way.” YEAH, YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, AND YOU CAN HAVE IT YOUR WAY, BUT YOU WILL REAP THE WRATH OF GOD, AND YOU WILL BE DAMNED FOREVER, AND YOU WILL END IN HELL.

Now, a lot of people say, “Well, when you preach that way, you sound so harsh and unloving.” No, you sound like you’ve been following a false God—because it is completely Biblical, which is why people are forsaking the Bible! It is completely Biblical that if we do not repent and TURN from sin, that we will perish in sin, and that we will be damned forever.

But there’s a trend now that “You don’t use the Bible. You don’t even have to read the Bible because you’re guided by the ‘spirit.’” Yeah, the spirit of your own mind, the spirit of your own wicked heart, the spirit of your own understanding, and demon spirits posing themselves to be God. And so, why is it that people are in sin completely, and claim they are ‘Christian’? It is because they are not following the Word of God, they are not adhering to the laws of God, they have abandoned all that for their greasy-grace—their greasy grace that just lets them slide any old way they want to because they’re all covered in it.

And every time they go to church, pastor grabs another big handful of this grease, and just smears it all over them. Greasy grace! And greasy-grace will just let you slide and slip every which way, and you can do any old thing you want, and you’re still all right, as long as you keep your grease on you: I mean grace.

Why? Because it is another invention—GREASY GRACE IS ANOTHER INVENTION OF THE LIARS, the deceivers, that are luring you in to the damnation of your soul. But the truth will set us free, and the truth is sobering, and the truth will differentiate between the precious and the vile, and you won’t be able to slide any old way you want, you will have to walk uprightly, and that is in the way of the Lord.

Now, today in psalm 7, go there with me if you will, I’ll be reading out of the Amplified version, and we’re beginning here in verse 1. It says: “O LORD my God, in You I take refuge and put my trust; save me from all those who pursue and persecute me, and deliver me, Lest my foe tear my life [from my body] like a lion, dragging me away while there is none to deliver.” So, what do we see here again? WARFARE.

Now, if we go through the psalms, we see repeatedly that warfare, warfare, WARFARE is an ever-active element of the psalms. And we see also that a repentant heart, and a desire to be right with God are equal elements. So, if we are in warfare, truly in warfare, we’re not going to be able to get proud, and strutting, and boasting, as to how great we are. Why? Because we have such wretched things on our trail such as foes who want to “tear my life from my body like a lion, dragging me away when there is none to deliver.”

So that means it’s a matter of life and death. It’s not a matter of happily ever after churchianity rock-away, rock-a-bye-baby, rock-and-roll, or do-your-trip, it’s none of that. It’s not the loud-sounding music, and the false worship, and the glittering lights, and the light-shows, and old ladies dressed in big tank clothes to cover up their bulging rolls, with their chopped hair. You don’t know that I’m talking about Joyce’s choice, right? But the point I’m getting to is that it is a continual warfare, it’s not a big hullabaloo party time.

And that’s what Churchianity has made serving God out to be, is a hullabaloo party time, and everybody can just rock and live in sensuality, and evil imaginations, and desire riches, and lust for the things of the world, and lust for whoever’s standing in front of them, or wiggling and jiggling in front of them, and on, and on, and on.

IT’S A WARFARE AGAINST THE VERY FORCES THAT WOULD MURDER YOU. It is a warfare against the forces of darkness, it is a warfare against the world, it is a warfare against even the wickedness of your own evil heart: the outward enemies, the inward enemies; and David is aware of this when he’s crying out to God and he’s saying, “You know what? I have foes that could literally rip my life out of my body, and there’s no man that can help me, there’s none to deliver.”

So, he’s crying out to the Lord, and that cry is in sincerity, that cry is in urgency, that cry is in desperation. So he’s saying: “Oh Lord my God, in YOU I take refuge and put my trust.” In other words, his very life is at stake, he’s not just reciting a little psalm because he wants to prove his expertise in remembering a Scripture/in memorizing it, he is giving a desperate cry because his very life could be ripped from him by the forces of darkness and iniquity.

Now, when your eyes are opened up in the spirit, and you see this thing for the way that it REALLY is, rather than how the story-tellers have projected it to be, you see that is it a life and death struggle, you see that the enemy is ever stalking you, and you see that the enemy would LOVE to tear the life out of your body, and leave you in a devastated heap that would be sent to Hell—because that is the agenda of the destroyer.

The devil has never calmed down, and bought a nice little home in the suburbs, and decided to raise a family. Yeah, he’s raising a family, but it’s a family of demons and destroyers just like himself. And he’s not calmed down in a little house in the suburbs, he’s still a ravaging, devouring, destroying, beast who would love to rip our lives completely apart.

SO, WE HAVE TO BE AWARE THAT YES, IT IS A WARFARE, AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE A WARFARE IF WE CONTINUE TO LIVE IN THE LORD, AND IF WE CONTINUE TO STAND FOR THE TRUTH. Now, you can get out of the war if you want to sign the proposition to compromise. Come on, you can have a good life on this earth, you can be ‘blessed’ by your false God, you can have all kinds of stuff and things.

And now I guess the way the laws are moving, you can even have multiple wives or husbands. I got a letter in the other day, some lesbian was wanting to know if she could “have 4 wives, and play the lottery, and not get sent to Hell?” Four wives for a lesbian and not get sent to Hell? Sorry honey, I know she was just a big-mouthed liar, but the point I’m getting to is, people are so reprobate in their thinking, and so mocking of the righteousness of God, that they think they can do anything and not pay for it.The truth of it is, we pay for our play. No matter what it is, we pay for it. There’s no free ticked to Heaven or Hell. Did you hear me? I said ‘THERE’S NO FREE TICKET TO HEAVEN OR HELL,’ and whatever you sow in this life, that’s what you’re going to reap in eternity. So, we’d better do some sober thinking about what we do, about what we say, about what we think, and about who we serve.

So, anyway, going on from there, he’s aware that he is in a constant battle, and he says: “O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands, If I have paid back with evil him who was at peace with me, or without cause have robbed him who was my enemy, Let the enemy pursue my life and take it; yes, let him trample my life to the ground and lay my honor in the dust. Selah (Pause and calmly think of that).”

So, what is he saying here? He’s basically speaking from an attitude OF SELF-EXAMINATION AND REPENTANCE. In other words, “If I am bringing this evil to my self by things that I have done wrong, by things that are unjust and unrighteous in your sight, then dear God, reveal it to me, and punish me as I have need of.” Because he’s not putting himself beyond punishment, beyond the need for God’s chastisement, and he’s not saying that: “I am totally always right; I am always righteous; I am always good; I never do wrong.” No, he’s not set up in self-righteousness, he is still seeking, through a repentant frame of mind, for the righteousness of God.

In other words, he’s not so sure and confident of himself that he dismisses the possibility that he could have invited this upon himself. Now, how many of you know that if you are in a hard place, that one of the things that God desires of you, that God desires of me, is that we would allow the Spirit to search our heart to see if there’s evil in us that is gravitating/magnetizing the evil that is befalling from the outside.

Now, God wants us to be a continually repentant people, and if you won’t allow the Spirit to search your heart, and to show up things that could be wrong, or ARE wrong, then you won’t be truly repentant because you will see yourself as already perfect, you will see yourself as just in your own eyes, you will see yourself as something you absolutely are not. And in that, you are moving into the realm of self-deception, and appointing yourself to be your own judge.

We need to let the Spirit of the Living God judge us in this life—that we can repent, and turn from things whereby we are grieving God, and walk uprightly in God. Now, somebody will say, “Well, all you ever harp on is obedience. And what about the greasy grace? Can’t we just get a little of that in there so we can just do a little backslide, and a little side-slide, and a little slime-slide. You know, can’t we just have a little grease?—I mean grace?”

It doesn’t say: “In greasy-grace is found the life,” it says, “IN THE OBEDIENCE.” See, grace is a gift from God, but OBEDIENCE IS WHAT WE GIVE TO GOD. So, when we always expect that God is supposed to just keep giving, and giving, and giving, and giving grace to us, and we keep getting by, and sliding here, and sliding there—because that grace gets awful greasy. But, IF WE DON’T GIVE OBEDIENCE TO GOD, WE ARE IN DISOBEDIENCE. Because we are meant to give to God our obedience, and in that obedience, we will find the life of the Living God.

But, in disobedience, you can load yourself down with tons of greasy grace, and slide all over the place, and slide right into Hell because you have failed to obey Him. If people want to dismiss the importance of obedience; they can, and they can go to Hell with it.

There’s more people going to Hell than you can imagine. “Well sister Deborah, we’ve got more Christian folk than we’ve ever had, and we have large huge churches where people come every week to be entertained, so how can you say they’re going to Hell?” By the Word of God, by the standard of God, by the dictate of God, by what it is that God’s requirements are—that no one is meeting up to at all—because they’re too busy slipping and sliding in their grease-show of grace.

Have you ever just put shortening all over yourself? Just go cover yourself with shortening and see how easy you slide around. I mean don’t get in the dirt because you might end up a terrible mess. But just see, put some shortening on your feet, the bottoms of your feet, and see where you can go with that. Pretty soon you’re going to find your steps are slippery, and they’re getting slimy, and pretty soon you’re slipping and sliding all over the place.

Ok, we’re going to leave greasy grace and go on. So, he’s examining himself, and then he says: “Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; lift up Yourself against the rage of my enemies…” In other words, “God, go into action against these forces, because if I’m not to blame, then get after them.” Ok, so he’s gone through the self-examination, he’s gone through the initial crying out to God in desperation, then he’s checked out his own self under the power, and the presence of the Spirit of the Living God.

And then he’s seeing, “Ok, no, it’s not you that’s bringing this on, it’s just their wickedness,” so then he’s crying out to God again, and he is saying to the Lord: “Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; lift up Yourself against the rage of my enemies; and awake [and stir up] for me the justice and vindication You have commanded.” So, he’s beseeching God to show forth His vengeance side. He’s not saying: “Love my enemies,” he’s not saying: “Give to my enemies anything their hearts desire,” he’s saying: “VINDICATE.” He’s saying show “Yourself against the rage of my enemies.”

Now, why are these enemies raging against him? Because of his service, his dedication, and his identification with God. Did you know when you identify with God, you will get enemies you never even heard of, you didn’t even know existed? You will have like these worms crawling out of the woodwork, these snakes coming up from their slimepits, you will have wolves with huge teeth, Dracula teeth hanging down the sides of their jaws coming at you. You will have lions wanting to tear your life out of your body, you will have all kinds of enemies—because of identification with God.

And you know what’s amazing to me? We’ve been getting a barrage of letters from people who sign their letters: “Hail satan, Lucifer, 999, 666, The Beast,” and on and on. And every one of them is telling us to go to Hell. There they are—already Hell-bound, and they’re wanting us to join them there. They must really want our company—because they’re delegating to us the place that’s reserved for them. Then, they think they have all this super-power, with all their super-curses that they can put upon those that are walking uprightly. And all the time they’re pathetic, damned souls who are headed to their own destruction.

But they’re enemies that you don’t even know about, that you never did anything to, that you never crossed in your life, and they’ve come to the forefront because of YOUR identification with the Lord.

Then he says: “Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered about You, return on high over them. The Lord judges the people; judge me, O Lord, and do me justice according to my righteousness [my rightness, justice, and right standing with You] and according to the integrity that is in me.” Then it says, “Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the [uncompromisingly] righteous [those upright and in harmony with You]; for You, Who try the hearts and emotions and thinking powers, are a righteous God…ARE a righteous God.”

So, he’s being honest here, and he’s still asking the Lord to judge him. In other words, he’s not smug and secure, and safe in his own idea of his righteousness, he’s telling the Lord: “Judge me. Judge me.” So, what does that show? It shows a repentant heart, it shows a heart of humility, it shows an attitude of submission to God, rather than his own understanding.

That is so greatly lacking in these days—men and women who will truly bring themselves into the presence of the Living God and ask God to judge them. You know, there used to be a song that I heard back when I was in Babylon, and it was called: “Search me, oh God.” And the last time we heard that song, we were in a religious church where everybody was living in sin, but oh, when it came to Sunday could they put on the dog.

And so they would sing that song: “Search me oh God, and see if there be any wicked way in me.” And my husband and I said, “Any wicked way? How about EVERY wicked way.” And then we changed it to “Church me oh God”—because they were playing a game, they weren’t letting God search them. They would sing the song, but the minute that Spirit would want to move in and search them, close the door and move on to another song. They were churching it, they were playing a church act.

You know, it sounded humble to say: “Search me oh God.” But you know, God knows because it says right here that you are the One that what? He said: “Who try the hearts and emotions and thinking powers.” God tries our heart, our emotions, and our thinking power. See, a lot of people go by what they ‘feel’. “I couldn’t help it, I just looked in his eyes and I felt such LOVE, I mean it just moved me. I knew it had to be the Lord.”

What is that? I’m allowing my feelings, my emotions to sway me out of righteousness into sin, and I’m claiming it’s God. So, that’s God’s Spirit showing me the fickleness, the wickedness, of my own feeling. That’s not according to righteousness that I end up in a ditch, committing acts of sin before God because I ‘felt’. No, WE HAVE TO SUBJECT OUR EMOTIONS TO GOD.

Say: “Well, you sound so hard-hearted…like a hard-hearted Hannah.” Well, you sound like a marshmallow, mush-mouth, love-addict. You know, there’ re people that absolutely love chocolate; they’ll do anything to get a piece of chocolate! There’ re other people that love tater-chips; they’ll do anything to get a greasy bag of tater chips. There’ re other people that love energy drinks; and they’ll shake, and they’ll break until they can get another e..en..energy drink—just to g..get one more. And you’ll see them, they’re just like “pant, pant, pant” and as long as they have their can, they’re ok.

And then there’ re other people that are delusional love addicts. They just can’t wait to mainline another fix from Joey-baby, wrinkle nose, or old grouchy Ricky who loves everybody, does tricks with everything; Rick the trick. And then on and on. And then you have big mama Joyce eating the cookies and loving that stuff. Big mama got her big moo-moo on to cover her flab, painted lips, chopped hair: “Eat those cookies and buy them shoes.” And she’ll give all those weeping women a fix of her delusional love because she’s a tough cookie. Sick! I don’t like tough cookies, if I’m going to eat a cookie, give me a good one.

All right, then it says: “Who try the hearts and emotions and thinking powers, are a righteous God. My defense and shield depend on God, Who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous Judge, yes, a God Who is indignant every day. If a man does not turn and repent, [God] will whet His sword; He has strung and bent His [huge] bow and made it ready [by treading it with His foot]. He has also prepared for him deadly weapons; He makes His arrows fiery shafts. Behold, [the wicked man] conceives iniquity and is pregnant” uh-oh, I hope the homos don’t get a hold of that.

“With mischief and gives birth to lies.” Did you know there’s actually a medical program in California whereby homosexual couples can apply for federal aid to get medical remedies so that one of them—‘the female partner’, can become ‘pregnant’? They’re pregnant with iniquity; they’re pregnant with lies; they’re pregnant with deception; they’re ALREADY pregnant; they’re pregnant with their own damnation.

“He made a pit and hollowed it out and has fallen into the hole which he made [before the trap was completed].” It says: “His mischief shall fall back in return upon his own head, and his violence come down [with the loose dirt] upon his own scalp.”

So, here we have the man envisioning the end of the wicked, and that is that the wicked set up this trap to catch him, and then he falls by his greasy-grace into his own trap, his own snare, and the dirt comes tumbling down on top of his head. Now, that’s what God will do. It says that God has set up His sword, His bow, deadly weapons, arrows that are fiery shafts, and He’s made all that for the wicked.

Then it says, going on: “I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His rightness and justice, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.” So, what is the psalmist doing? He’s saying: “I’m going to end this in victory because I’m remaining with God, I’m letting God search my heart, I’m letting God show me my own wrong, and I’m letting God reveal His vengeance upon the wicked. Because IF THEY DO NOT TURN AND REPENT, THEY ARE DAMNED, THEY ARE DESTROYED FOREVER.” Amen.
